Rolling Elvi Big Top Birthday Bash to Benefit Roots of Music!

Step right up ladies and gentlemen and children of all (legal) drinking ages and join us for the greatest Krewe of the Rolling Elvi celebration on earth … The King’s Big Top Birthday Bash, scheduled for Friday, January 17 at 7:00 PM at the Howlin’ Wolf.

The event this year commemorates both the King of Rock and Roll’s birthday and the 50th anniversary of the release of the film “Roustabout.” The carnival themed party will feature musical performances by the Creole String Beans (featuring the Terrytown Horns), Clockwork Elvis, and Les Autres along with special side-show inspired entertainment.

This year, there’s an extra reason to party with the Elvi: we’ll be dressing up and gettin’ down to raise money for The Roots of Music — a free, year-round music education program with a mission to teach, support and empower the youth of New Orleans while preserving and promoting our city’s unique musical and cultural heritage.

Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion, and as an extra incentive, all partygoers in full costume will save $5 at the door.

Admission: $15 at the door, $10 for fully costumed guests. 7 PM at Howlin’ Wolf, 907 S Peters St.

A special pre-sale will be offered to Krewe members for one week starting Wednesday, January 8th, for the discount price of $7.50 a ticket.  more info to come via email.
